Dark Souls II Key Items Checklist

Keys and story items that open the way. Where to find each one in Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, DLC included.

Key

  • Undead Lockaway Key: Huntsman's Copse: past the bridge by the prison, up the path on the left where Merciless Roenna invades; on a corpse.
  • Lenigrast's Key: Bought from Merchant Hag Melentia for 1,000 souls (Forest of Fallen Giants, later Majula).
  • Soldier Key: Dropped by The Last Giant.
  • Key to King's Passage: Drangleic Castle: chest in the upper room at the top of the lift, together with a Soul Vessel.
  • Bastille Key: Lost Bastille: on a corpse among crates at the edge of the broken bridge near the Servants' Quarters bonfire.
  • Iron Key: Iron Keep: under the fire-breathing bull statue in the first building past Threshold Bridge; a later lever stops the flames.
  • Forgotten Key: Black Gulch: kill the two giants in the hidden cave below the worm path.
  • Key to the Embedded: The Demon of Song leaves it behind when you beat him in the Shrine of Amana.
  • Brightstone Key: Dropped by Duke Tseldora in the Lord's Private Chamber after Freja.
  • Antiquated Key: Chest next to Lucatiel of Mirrah's tower at the Tower Apart in the Lost Bastille.
  • Fang Key: Free the petrified Lion Clan Warrior across the tree bridge by the Shaded Ruins bonfire, then kill it.
  • House Key: Given by Cale the Cartographer in his cave in the Forest of Fallen Giants once you exhaust his talk.
  • Tseldora Den Key: Given by whichever of Pate or Creighton survives their duel in Brightstone Cove (needs both questlines).
  • Aldia Key: Light the four braziers in Aldia's Keep; the bone dragon in the entrance hall then lunges and dies, dropping it.
  • Eternal Sanctum Key (Crown of the Sunken King): On a corpse in the Dragon's Sanctum room full of Sanctum Knights.
  • Heavy Iron Key (Crown of the Old Iron King): On a skeleton in the Flame Salamander pit cave in the Forest of Fallen Giants (behind the Iron Key door).
  • Tower Key (Crown of the Old Iron King): Brume Tower: on a corpse in the ash field guarded by Ashen Warriors, one lift level below the Foyer.
  • Rotunda Lockstone: Bought from Licia of Lindeldt for 3,000 souls at the Majula rotunda (she also drops it).
  • Giant's Kinship: Dropped by the Giant Lord in the Memory of Jeigh.
  • Ashen Mist Heart: Given by the Ancient Dragon atop the Dragon Shrine; it also drops if you kill him.
  • Ladder Miniature: Bought from Laddersmith Gilligan for 6,399 souls in Earthen Peak (7,999 in Majula).
  • Dull Ember: Iron chest at the Tower Apart bonfire, reached via the bird's nest after the Pursuer.
  • Dragon Talon (Crown of the Sunken King): On a corpse behind the Forgotten Key door in The Pit below Majula.
  • Dragon Stone (Crown of the Sunken King): Chest in a hidden room near the spike floor of Dragon's Sanctum, revealed by a switch on a bridge support.
  • Scorching Iron Scepter (Crown of the Old Iron King): On the altar at the bottom of the tower beside the main building of Brume Tower.
  • Frozen Flower (Crown of the Ivory King): Drangleic Castle: on a corpse in a side room off the first Ruin Sentinel hall.
  • Garrison Ward Key (Crown of the Ivory King): Frozen Eleum Loyce: past urns you light with a torch, behind a Flexile Sentry, after the blizzard is lifted.
  • Eye of the Priestess (Crown of the Ivory King): At a flaming altar on the main path after the second bonfire of Frozen Eleum Loyce.
  • Crushed Eye Orb: Undead Crypt: chest up the ladder off the cavern below the bridge, together with a Fire Seed.

Giant Soul

  • Soul of a Giant: Memory of Orro: examine the giant's corpse at the end of the memory.
  • Soul of a Giant: Memory of Vammar: examine the giant's corpse at the end of the memory.
  • Soul of a Giant: Memory of Jeigh: examine the giant's corpse after the Giant Lord fight.
  • Soul of a Giant: Black Gulch: dropped by the two giants in the hidden cave (with the Forgotten Key).
  • Soul of a Giant: Dropped by the Ancient Dragon if you kill him at the Dragon Shrine.
